Doing my thing, I love being with family! Photo by Kaitlin Cofer at Kirsten and Brad’s SF City Hall Wedding, 2023.

My name is Kristin Cofer, and photography is my favorite thing. My love of photography started at a young age. When I was a child, I discovered a drawer of photographs in my grandmother’s dresser. Some were in albums, many were just loose—but all together, they contained generations of memories. And they inspired me to use a camera to capture moments in time that would be treasured in the future. Being the oldest of five children, my four younger siblings naturally became my first subjects.

As time went on, my interests shifted and I started photographing musicians, artists, and friends. Ten years ago, I made photography my profession, shooting everything from album covers to commercial photo shoots and portraits.

In 2018, I had the opportunity to photograph a 20- year- wedding anniversary in Hawaii. Connecting with their family and capturing their love was so beautiful that I decided to expand my business to encompass wedding photography.

My main goal in taking photos is to make my subjects feel good. Being a highly empathetic person, I can quickly connect with people and make them feel comfortable in front of my camera—even the shyest of shy folks—which always produces the best, most authentic images.

Having spent years mastering my craft, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional quality in every shot I take. Prior to any collaboration, I believe in having a consultation meeting to ensure that we are a good fit. It's important to me that we understand each other's vision and create a comfortable working relationship. I want you to feel confident that I will beautifully capture your special moments.

On wedding days, I give my entire self to the task. My energy, dedication, and passion are poured into documenting the love and joy of your day. To maintain the highest level of focus and creativity, I only accept a limited number of weddings per year, allowing me to provide an unparalleled level of service and attention to each couple.

I am thrilled to embark on this incredible journey with you, and I can't wait to create timeless images that will be cherished for generations to come.

Besides photography, I love listening to music and do a weekly radio show on BFF.fm called The Infinite Kaleidoscope; and petting any cat or dog I come into contact with.
